Across the Finger Lakes and Central New York thousands were without power on Sunday, as spring-like air brought with it damaging winds.
Power lines, utility poles, tree limbs, and even small trees came down causing travel difficulties.

The peak wind gust in the Rochester-area was recorded at 72 mph. While no wind gusts that high were recorded in the Finger Lakes or Central New York- there were countless wind readings in the 50s and 60s.
That was plenty to leave damage behind.
This just happened on Duncott, here in Perinton. My hubby caught it as it fell. pic.twitter.com/BSkBxLDsXG

A new record high temperature for today's date. 73°, Rochester! This shatters the previous record high of 70° for the date that's been in the books for 128 years! #ROC #WX #MarchMeteorologicalMadness pic.twitter.com/hkilMGnKPy
