Village of Newark to hold first public workshop for the Downtown Revitalization Initiative

The Village of Newark was selected by the Finger Lakes Regional Economic Development Council to receive a $10 million award from New York State through the Downtown Revitalization Initiative (DRI). The DRI investment will allow Newark to develop a strategic investment plan and implement key catalytic projects that advance its vision for downtown revitalization. Projects selected for DRI funding will transform the downtown and support a vibrant local economy.

An integral part of this strategic plan is soliciting feedback and guidance from the community. In addition to the online resources listed below, the Village will be holding three in-person / virtual hybrid public workshops. The first of these workshops is scheduled for March 16th, 2022 at 6:00 p.m. at the High School, 625 Peirson Avenue, Newark 14513, in the LGI Room 116. Since this event is after hours, we request attendees park in front of the building and enter at the smaller entrance to the right of the main entrance. Signage and guidance will be on site as you arrive.

A virtual option is also available; please register for the Zoom webinar at the link provided here.
