Police report the arrest of a Rome man following a traffic stop.

According to a news release, troopers in Waterloo arrested David Marcello, 63, of Rome for driving while intoxicated.

Marcello was originally pulled over after troopers observed a vehicle speeding on State Route 414 in the town of Tyre. Upon investigation, he was charged with driving while intoxicated, having a BAC greater than .08%.

Marcello will appear in the Town of Tyre Court at a later date.
