Cornell Cooperative Extension (CCE) and Rick Reisinger are offering two opportunities to participate in a fruit pruning workshop at Apples and Moore (formerly Reisinger’s Apple Country) on March 19th and 26th from 9:00am-12:00pm. This popular workshop will be helpful to pruners of all levels.
While apple trees will be the focus of the workshop, other fruits will be featured. The event will cover basic tree care, grafting, and proper pruning techniques and tools. A Q&A with CCE Educators and former orchard owner, Rick Reisinger, will also take place. The workshop is $25 for a single registration or $40 for a double registration. Since the workshop will be held primarily outside (rain, snow, or shine) participants should dress for the weather.
“This pruning workshop covers a lot!” says past participant, Debbie Ball, “I’ve attended it several times and gained something new at each workshop. If you’re unsure about pruning your fruit trees, this will give you the confidence to begin.”
Pre-registration is required and closes two days before the workshop. For all the details and registration links go to www.cceschuyler.org/events. Contact Marissa Nolan with any questions or help with registering by email: [email protected] or phone: (607)535-7161 x3226
