Police report the arrest of a Geneva man following a domestic incident.
According to a news release, the Geneva Police Department arrested Nicholas M. Hibbard, 31, of Geneva for criminal contempt.
It is alleged that Hibbard violated an order of protection when he put his hands around another person’s neck and squeezed until they had trouble breathing. He was taken into custody and charged for criminal contempt and strangulation.
Hibbard will respond to the charges at a later date.
