Four candidates for New York’s newly redrawn 24th Congressional District were recently vetted by both the Republican and Conservative committees in Wayne County.
The redrawn NY-24 includes all of Wayne County and runs from Buffalo to Watertown. All candidates looking to be included on the Republican primary run-off ballot must obtain at least 1,000 signatures before the primary is held in June, according to Wayne Times.
Four candidates appeared in front of the two Wayne County committees on Tuesday, February 22 to talk about their platform and answer questions as part of the vetting process. Those four candidates were Mario Fratto, Chris Jacobs, Andrew McCarthy, and John Murtari.
