Continuing its tradition of bringing established as well as newly emerging artists to Seneca County, the Friends of Three Bears has announced that its 2022 program will kick off with highlighting the work of Gracie Ferguson during the month of March.
Ms. Ferguson will be honored at a “Meet and Greet” Artist Reception held on Friday, March 4, at 6 p.m. at the largest of the three buildings in the Ovid Courthouse complex, commonly known as Papa Bear. Light refreshments will be served and all are welcome to attend.
While Ms. Ferguson’s work has the nuance and detail of works from an earlier era, she is currently a senior at Waterloo High School in the New Visions Medical Program.
“When I remember what I was doing as a high school senior and compare my younger self to Gracie I am humbled”, said Diane, a trustee of the Friends.
Ms. Ferguson’s work will be on display during March from Thursday through Saturday during the hours of 2 to 6 p.m. at 7175 North Main Street, Ovid. Reservations for the artist reception can be made at [email protected] or by phoning 315-539-1614.
