Cornell defeats Lehigh to improve to 2-0

The Cornell men’s lacrosse team defeated Lehigh, 9-5, on Saturday afternoon at the Ulrich Sports Complex.

With the victory, the Big Red improved to 2-0 on the season.

Aiden Blake, CJ Kirst and John Piatelli each scored twice for Cornell. Hugh Kelleher, Danny Caddigan and JJ Lombardi also tallied in the win.

Chayse Ierlan made 15 saves to earn his second victory of the season.


Scott Cole recored a hat trick for Lehigh while Dakota Eierman and Andrew Mapstone also netted goals.

James Spence made 11 saves in the loss.

Cornell is back in action on Tuesday when they host Hobart at 5 p.m.
