Police report the arrest of an Erin man after report of an accident.
According to a news release, State Police in Horseheads arrested Steven N. Wellington, 68, of Erin for driving while intoxicated.
Upon investigation, troopers detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage on Wellington’s breath along with other signs of intoxication. He submitted to a standardized field sobriety test which he failed and a breath test with a reported value of .15% BAC. He was charged with driving while intoxicated and issued an appearance ticket.
Wellington will return to the Town of Horseheads Court at a later date to answer charges.
