Teen dies after ski jump accident at Bristol Mountain

The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office has provided an update on the skiing accident at Bristol Mountain earlier this week.

They say Christian Cuomo, 15, of Manlius passed away on Wednesday at Strong Memorial Hospital as result of the injuries sustained in the accident.

Deputies said there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the incident.

Deputies say a 15-year-old suffered serious head and facial injuries after going over a ski jump at Bristol Mountain.

The 15-year-old was not identified, but deputies said the accident happened around 10:13 a.m. on February 21.

The victim was transported to Bristol Firehouse, then airlifted by Mercy Flight to Strong Memorial Hospital.

He remains in guarded condition at the Pediatric ICU at Golisano Children’s Hospital.

The victim was wearing a helmet at the time of the incident.
