The Conservative Party in Ontario County has endorsed Geneva’s Mario Fratto in the race for New York’s 24th Congressional District.
“Mr. Fratto is a multi-generation local to the Finger Lakes region, and he currently resides in Ontario County,” Chair Reid Robbins said. “His geographic residence makes him the optimal compromise representative of Erie County, Jefferson County, and all the counties in-between.”
Robbins said a number of issues faces the region, state, and country. However, Fratto is the one best-positioned to lead the charge in the 24th.
“He understands the area, the people who make it thrive, and the values that we hold dear,” he added. “Undeniably, Mario Fratto is the most Conservative candidate in this race; even most opponents would conceded that point. This district overwhelmingly voted for former President Donald Trump, and it was not even close.”
Fratto said he was proud to have received the support of the party in Ontario County. “It takes a lot of courage to endorse a challenger against an incumbent,” he said. “And for that they should be applauded. I’m the only real conservative in the race and the candidate best suited to represent such a broad geographic area.”
