The Syracuse Orange men’s basketball team (15-12 overall, 9-7 ACC) needed five extra minutes to defeat Georgia Tech (11-16 overall, 4-12 ACC) at the Carrier Dome on Monday night.
Georgia Tech had a chance to win the game in the overtime period, but Michael Devoe missed a three-pointer at the buzzer and Syracuse held on for a 74-73 victory.
Jimmy Boeheim scored 20 points to lead the Orange.
