The RIT men’s hockey team held on for a 3-2 win over Niagara on Saturday night at the Gene Polisseni Center.
Tommy Scarfone turned aside 25-of-27 shots for the Tigers. Chad Veltri stopped 24-of-27 shots for the Purple Eagles.
RIT went 2-for-3 on the power play and finished 3-for-4 on the penalty kill.
Jake Hamacher, Will Calverley and Kobe Walker scored for the Tigers.
Carter Randklev and Shane Otto tallied for Niagara.
RIT’s next game is scheduled for Friday, February 25 against the Air Force. The puck will drop at 9:05 p.m.
