A stabbing in the city of Ithaca is under investigation.
Police say around 2 a.m. on Saturday a person entered a local business and reported that he had been stabbed. The individual had a stab wound to his torso was initially uncooperative, claiming not to know where he was stabbed or who he was stabbed by.
Following an investigation, he told police that he was stabbed by a black male in the parking lot of West Village Place.
Officers were unable to locate a crime scene in the area. The victim was transported to a regional trauma center and refused to cooperate further with police.
The investigation is still active, police said. Anyone with information is asked to contact IPD at 607-272-3245.
