Schumer announces $7M in federal funding for Ithaca-based clean energy research

U.S. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer announced over $7 million in federal funding for Ithaca-based clean energy and electric vehicle research on Wednesday, February 16.

The funding comes through the U.S. Department of Energy’s Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy program, according a press release from Sen. Schumer’s office.

“Ithaca is leading New York and our nation in the fight against climate change. I am proud to deliver this $7 million federal investment that will supercharge our efforts to deliver critical clean energy solutions and create good paying jobs right here in Upstate New York,” said Sen.
