New York State Governor Kathy Hochul accepted the state Democratic Party’s nomination for the gubernatorial primary in June at a Manhattan hotel on Thursday, February 17.
The 2022 New York State Democratic Convention was hosted at the Sheraton New York Times Square Hotel on Thursday, according to Albany Times-Union. The former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton introduced Hochul before she took the stage to accept the nomination.
“We will rise up for one state,” said Hochul as she accepted to state Democratic Party’s nomination.
Hochul’s Democratic contenders, New York City Public Advocate Jumaane Williams and U.S. Rep. Tom Suozzi, will have to gain enough signatures if they want to make the June primary ballot.
