Buffalo Sabres forward Dylan Cozens has been fined $2,235.42 for cross-checking New York Islanders forward Brock Nelson during Tuesday’s game, the National Hockey League’s Department of Player Safety announced Wednesday.
The incident occurred in the second period and Cozens received a minor penalty for cross-checking.
The Sabres defeated the Islanders, 6-3.
Buffalo’s next game is scheduled for Thursday when they host the Ottawa Senators. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m.
