Protests over Canada’s vaccine mandates came to upstate New York on Saturday, with over 100 demonstrators gathering at Pat Sole Park in Buffalo to protest the restrictions.
Demonstrators were met with the presence of state troopers and the Buffalo police, as well as counter-protestors, according to Democrat & Chronicle.
The demonstration reportedly didn’t last much longer than one hour. The demonstrators drew inspiration from the weeks-long blockade of Canadians truckers at the Ambassador Bridge near Detroit, who are similarly protesting COVID-19 restrictions.
The demonstration was organized by Rolling Patriots, a coalition of upstate groups opposed to COVID-19-related mandates.
