Auburn woman charged with false impersonation

Police report the arrest of an Auburn woman.

According to a news release, the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Auburn woman on false impersonation charges.


Dispatchers received an alert from a silent panic alarm at D&M Grocery in Waterloo. Upon Investigation, it was discovered that Tanner had attempted to pay with a fraudulent check with another person’s name and was also able to provide that persons NYS license for identification. She was arrested for false impersonation, possession of a forged instrument, and attempted petit larceny.

Tanner will respond to the charges at a later date.
