Cornell allows five straight goals in 6-2 loss to Rensselaer

The Cornell men’s hockey team allowed five unanswered goals in a 6-2 loss to Rensselaer on Friday night at Houston Field House.

Cornell goaltender Joe Howe stopped 9-of-13 shots. Jack Watson turned aside 37-of-39 to earn the victory for Rensselaer.

The Big Red went 1-for-5 on the power play while the Engineers finished 1-for-3.


Max Andreev and Ben Berard scored for Cornell.

Ture Linden and Jakub Lacka each scored twice for Rensselaer while Justin Addamo and Jake Johnson also tallied.

Cornell faces Union on Saturday night at the Frank L Messa Rink. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m.
