The Buffalo Bills are expected to hire former NFL quarterback Kyle Shurmur as their new defensive quality coach, according to Field Yates of ESPN.
Shurmur played quarterback at Vanderbilt and signed with the Kansas City Chiefs after going undrafted in 2019. He was a member of the practice squad and spent time with the Cincinnati Bengals and Washington Commanders the last two seasons without playing in any regular season games.
Shurmur is the son of former Cleveland Browns and New York Giants head coach Pat Shurmur, who worked with Sean McDermott for many years as an assistant under Andy Reid with the Philadelphia Eagles.
Kyle leads sports coverage and hosts the Concrete Jungle podcast. Have a lead or question? Send it to [email protected].
