The city of Auburn’s finances and financial management are in good shape.
That was the conclusion of Insero, the city’s outside auditing firm in a presentation to the City Council Thursday night. The audit report said “this report identified no instances of noncompliance, no material internal control weaknesses, and one deficiency.”
Insero representatives were joined at the meeting by Comptroller Rachel Jacobs, who also gave a report on city finances. Auburn City Clerk Chuck Mason says under Jacobs’ fiscal management, the city has done well in recent years.
