Police report the arrest of a Penn Yan man.
According to a news release, the Penn Yan Police Department arrested Travis A. Groet, 29, of Penn Yan after violating an order of protection.
Groet was observed outside a local establishment in the presence of a town of Italy resident who was protected by an order of protection. He was charged with criminal contempt.
Groet was issued a ticket to appear in the Penn Yan Village Court at a later date.
