New Yorkers who receive Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits can expect to see a supplemental allotment come their way later this month.
The supplemental benefits will includes those who have already maxed out their monthly limit, according to Rochester First. SNAP households should see the extra benefits between now and Thursday, February 17.
The federal funding for the extra benefits totals $230 million for New York and is overseen by the state Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance.
