A Corning man celebrated the one-year anniversary of his discharge from Guthrie Hospital on Friday, February 4.
Michael Ambrosone spent 31 days at Guthrie Hospital due to complications after being infected with COVID-19. He relied on a ventilator to help him breathe and spent 18 days in the ICU, according to WBNG.
Ambrosone wasn’t able to see his family during this time- he had to keep in contact with them through social media and phone calls. He says he has the hospital team to thank for helping him through the ordeal.
“…the professionals and the care team at Corning Guthrie Hospital were literally filling a void, they were my family and friends for 31 days we laughed and cried and prayed together,” said Ambrosone.
