After getting shut out on Friday, the RIT men’s hockey team settled for a 4-4 tie against AIC on Saturday night at Gene Polisseni Center. The Tigers earned the extra conference point with a 2-1 shootout victory.
RIT goaltender Tommy Scarfone stopped 33-of-37 shots. Jake Kucharski made 22 saves for AIC.
The Tigers went 1-for-5 on the power play while the Yellow Jackets finished 0-for-3.
Gianfranco Cassaro scored twice for RIT while Will Calverley and Grady Hobbs also tallied.
Luka Maver notched two goals for AIC. Justin Young and Zak Galambos were the other goal scorers.
RIT will play at Mercyhurt on Friday. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
