A third-period rally fell short for the Cornell men’s hockey team in a 2-1 loss to Brown on Tuesday afternoon at Meehan Auditorium.
Ondrej Psenicka scored a late goal to give the Big Red some hope, but the bears held on for the victory despite being outshot 17-3 in the third period.
Jake Harris and Justin Jallen scored for Brown.
The biggest difference in the game was special teams. Cornell really struggled on the power play as they went 0-for-6 while the Bears went 1-for-4.
Ian Shane turned aside 21-of-23 shots for Cornell. Mathieu Caron made 36 saves for Brown.
Cornell is back in action on Wednesday when they face Colgate at 7:30 p.m.
