Two Rochester-area freestyle skiers will compete in the 2022 Olympic Winter Games in Beijing.
Dylan Walczyk of Rochester and Chris Lillis of Pittsford are both former Bristol Mountain athletes, according to WROC.
Bristol says Walczyk will compete on February 3 in the qualifying round for moguls, and the finals will be held on February 5.
Lillis will compete in a mixed gender event called “Mix Team Aerials” on February 10, the Men’s Aerials on February 15, and finals on February 16.
“We couldn’t be prouder,” said Bristol Mountain General Manager Dan Fuller in a statement. “Congratulations to both Chris and Dylan on this incredible achievement after many years of hard work. We can’t wait to cheer for them in Beijing!”
