Wayne County 911 dispatcher helped save life of newborn in Clyde

A Wayne County 911 dispatcher helped saved the life of a newborn last week.

Dispatcher Robert Montemorano answered a call on Thursday, January 27 about a newborn who was unconscious and not breathing following an at-home birth in Clyde, according to Finger Lakes Times.

Montemorano gave CPR instructions to the caller, who performed mouth-to-mouth and chest compressions on the child. Montemorano, the caller, and quick response from emergency personnel are reported to have saved the child’s life. The baby was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.
