RIT rallies for 3-3 tie at Bentley

The RIT men’s hockey team rallied for a 3-3 tie at Bentley on Sunday afternoon at Bentley Arena.

After trailing 3-1 with under 15 minutes to play in the third period, the Tiger scored a pair of goals in a five minute stretch to tie the game and send it to overtime.

Jake Hamacher scored two goals for RIT and Andrew Rinaldi netted the game-tying goal.

Lucas Vanroboy, Matt Lombardozzi and Harrison Scott each scored for Bentley.

Goaltender Kolby Mathews made 26 saves for the Tigers.

RIT is back in action on Tuesday when they take on Sacred Heart in a makeup game at 2:05 p.m.
