The Syracuse Crunch lost to the Charlotte Checkers, 6-1, on Saturday night at the Upstate Medical University Arena.
Crunch goaltender Amir Miftakhov stopped 13-of-19 shots before being relieved by Corbin Kaczperski in the third period. Kaczperski made three saves. Spencer Knight turned aside 37-of-38 shots for the Checkers.
Syracuse went 0-for-4 on the power play, while Charlotte converted on 2-of-4.
Sean Day scored the lone goal for Syracuse.
Scott Wilson scored three goals for Charlotte. Henry Bowlby, Aleksi Heponiemi and Max McCormick also found the back of the net for the Checkers.
The Crunch are back in action on Wednesday when they take on the Belleville Senators.
