New York’s Southern Tier region will receive more than $6.5 million in loans and $650,000 in grants from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). Specifically, the money is set to go to the 23rd Congressional District under Representative Tom Reed.
The funding is part of the USDA’s program announced January 26 to distribute over $1 billion to “build and improve critical community facilities” across 48 states, according to WETM.
