No action.
That was the result of a session Tuesday night where some elected officials thought the Seneca County Board Of Supervisors might take unified action after Waterloo Town Supervisor Don Trout published a meme about White Supremacy.
Some thought that the Republican-majority board might censure Supervisor Trout, or even remove his committee assignments.
Except that didn’t happen.
Supervisor Kyle Barnhart tweeted after the session that it “didn’t go as planned,” but that those who wanted to see consequences for Trout’s shared words “aren’t done yet.”
In added explanation, Barnhart said Republicans caucused before the meeting and ‘overwhelmingly’ opposed any action. “There’s a handful of us still hoping to take action,” he wrote.
