The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Lyons man for driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop on Jackson Street.
According to a news release, William Roedts, 73, of Lyons was observed by deputies driving after dark without headlights, then driving over a curb onto a snowbank.
He failed field sobriety tests and was taken into custody. Deputies say Roedts refused a chemical test and was issued appearance tickets for DWI, operating without headlights, moving from lane unsafely, operating without an interlock device, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle, and aggravated unlicensed operation.
All of the charges will be answered at a later date in local court.
