Rochester man arrested on felony charge, held on no bail after Canandaigua drug investigation

The Canandaigua Police Department reports the arrest of a 33-year-old Rochester man following a drug investigation in the city.

According to a news release, Demetrick Smith, 33, of Rochester was charged with a felony count of criminal sale of a controlled substance.


It’s alleged that Smith sold crack cocaine while in the city of Canandaigua. He was arrested as part of an investigation involving the Canandaigua Police Department and Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.

He was transported to the county jail for processing, and held without bail as further charges are pending.
