The Artworks Gallery will hold a Landscape Drawing Workshop with Roberta Nelson on Saturday, February 5 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The workshop will be held at the Artworks Gallery at 109 Fall Street in downtown Seneca Falls.
During this workshop, participants will learn the basics of landscape drawing. This is done by applying various composition principles, drawing techniques, kinds of landscape compositions, and aerial perspective. The use of value masses, light, ground shadows, tree forms, and cloud formations will be a part of the process.
Participants should bring drawing pencils, colored pencils, pastels, or a combination of these, the type of drawing paper/papers desired, a good eraser, and if desired, bring a photo of a landscape.
Cost is $40 per attendee. Registration is required by January 29. Contact the instructor at (315) 549-8323 or email [email protected].
The gallery hours are Wednesday – Friday 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The gallery is staffed by volunteers. For more information, visit their website here.
