Sabres provide injury updates on several players

The Buffalo Sabres provided a lengthy update on injured players Thursday.

Goaltender Malcolm Subban underwent surgery for a lower-body injury and is not expected to return this season.

Defenseman Collin Miller underwent surgery for an undisclosed ailment and is expected to miss at least six weeks.

Forward Vinnie Hinostroza will miss at least three weeks with a lower-body injury.

Forward Kyle Okposo has bumps and bruises and is considered week-to-week.

Center Casey Mittelstadt participated in the Sabres morning skate, his first time on the ice with the team since sustaining an upper-body injury on December. 7. He is considered day-to-day and head coach Don Granato said he could return to the lineup Saturday or next Tuesday.

Defenseman Jacob Bryson and forward Zemgus Girgensons are both day-to-day with lower-body injuries.

The Sabres host the Dallas Stars Thursday at 7 p.m.
