New York State Police say the car vs. pedestrian accident that happened in Hopewell Sunday night has turned fatal.
Police, firefighters, and EMS responded to 5&20 and County Road 10 in Hopewell around 7:30 p.m.
The road was closed for hours as personnel worked the scene.
On Monday, the pedestrian was identified as 42-year-old Rauly Pesante-Davila, of Canandaigua.
Pesante-Davila was struck by a vehicle while walking along the west side of County Road 10 and Routes 5&20
He was transported to Thompson Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The operator showed no signs of impairment and the investigation is ongoing, according to troopers.
