As promised, Geneva held its annual Dr. Martin Luther King Day observances despite the snowstorm.
The event has seen its share of snow and cold over the years. Lucille Mallard, longtime President of the Geneva chapter of the NAACP, said all chapters across the county were asked to advocate for the passage of the John Lewis Voting Rights Act now before Congress.
The Geneva Community Center posted a video featuring highlights of the ceremonies.
