An Auburn teen was among two people arrested this week as part of an investigation into a stolen vehicle.
The North Syracuse Police Department said a vehicle left running outside of a pet store was stolen over the weekend.
The two dogs inside the vehicle at the time of the theft were later found unharmed.
However, the two responsible for the alleged theft were a 17-year-old from Athol, Massachusetts and an Auburn teen.
The 15-year-old from Auburn was temporarily living in Cicero at the time of the incident. He was charged with grand larceny, as a felony, conspiracy, and unauthorized use of a vehicle.
The dogs were given to a friend by one of the suspects to turn over to authorities after the vehicle theft.
Police in North Syracuse said tips from the public allowed the investigation to result in arrest.
