The Wayne County Office of the Sheriff reports the arrest of a Rochester man following an investigation into an assist to a motorist in the Town of Walworth.
Deputies arrested Calvin L. Mathis, 41, of Rochester following the investigation. It is alleged that Mathis was the driver of a vehicle that traveled off of the roadway in the Town of Walworth and provided Deputies with a Florida photo identification. Deputies learned that Mathis was wanted out of Calhoun County Florida for Vacating a Permanent Residence as a Registered Sex Offender in the state of Florida. Deputies transported Mathis to the Wayne County Jail where he is currently being held as a Fugitive from Justice awaiting extradition.
Mathis is to appear in Wayne County Court on 01/11/2022 for further court proceedings.
