The Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra announced Monday it’s postponing all of its concerts scheduled between Wednesday and the end of the month.
WXXI News reports the three week pause is due to the University of Rochester’s decision to cancel or postpone concerts, master classes, and special events scheduled through January 31. The university has also announced a ten person limit for on-campus gatherings.
The RPO said that it is working with the Eastman Theatre and Hochstein School to identify new dates for these affected concerts and asks that ticket holders simply hold onto their tickets for now. The Eastman School of Music has also moved its classes online temporarily.
