Williamson man charged after investigation into disturbance on Route 21

The Wayne County Office of the Sheriff reports the arrest of a Williamson man following an investigation into a disturbance in the Town of Williamson.


Deputies arrested Joshua D. Barber, 38, of 58 Arrowbend Drive, Williamson following the investigation into the disturbance. It is alleged that Barber was observed walking in the middle of State Route 21 in the Town of Williamson yelling and screaming obscenities all while obstructing vehicular traffic on State Route 21. Barber was charged with one count of Disorderly Conduct. It was also determined by deputies that Barber also had an open arrest warrant from Newark Police Department. Barber was transported to the Wayne County Jail where he was issued an appearance ticket for one count of Disorderly Conduct and turned over to Newark Police on their arrest warrant.

Barber is to appear in the Town of Williamson court on 01/19/2022 before the presiding Judge to answer to the charge.
