Clyde man arrested after investigation by Child Protective Services

Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Clyde man following an investigation from Child Protection Services.


Deputies arrested Thomas J Belile, age 38 of Caroline Street in the Village of Clyde. It is alleged that Belile had struck his child with a belt on separate occasions. Belile has been charges with two counts of Assault in the third degree and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child under the age of 17.

Belile was taken to Wayne County Jail to await CAP arraignment on 01/04/22 at 07:00PM. He will appear in the Village of Clyde Court on a later date and time for further court proceedings.
