Syracuse blows 14-point halftime lead, falls at Miami (full coverage)

The Syracuse Orange men’s basketball team jumped out to a 14-point halftime lead over the Miami Hurricanes but ultimately collapsed in the second half to fall by a final score of 88-87 inside the Watsco Center on Wednesday night. With the loss, Syracuse moved to 7-7 on the season and 1-2 in league play.

Syracuse (7-6 overall, 1-1 ACC) heads south to Miami for another ACC match up against Miami (11-3 overall, 3-0 ACC). Tip-off in Watsco Center is set for 8:00 p.m. The game will be televised on the ACC Network.

Wednesday’s competition will be the 30th time the Orange and the Hurricanes meet with Syracuse leading the series 20-9. The last game resulted in a 83-57 Orange victory in January of 2021.
