The NFL has modified it’s COVID-19 protocols to reflect updated guidelines from the CDC, which now call for just a five-day quarantine window after testing positive instead of 10 days.
This means all NFL players, including those who are unvaccinated, will be eligible to be activated off the Reserve/COVID-19 list after five days.
The NFL and NFLPA have agreed to modify COVID protocols in accordance with new CDC guidelines, cutting the standard isolation period after a positive test for asymptomatic individuals from 10 days to 5 days – regardless of vaccination status.

Bills wide receiver Gabriel Davis was placed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list on Friday. Since Davis is unvaccinated, that originally meant he would miss games against the New England Patriots and Atlanta Falcons, but now Davis has an opportunity to be activated ahead of this Sunday’s action.
Cole Beasley, who also remains on the Reserve/COVID-19 list, will need to be asymptomatic and produce negative tests to be activated for the Falcons game. Beasley was placed on that list on Dec. 21.
