The Mets have made a front office promotion, as Ben Zauzmer becomes the team’s new assistant GM, per MLB Network’s Jon Heyman.
Zauzmer joined the Mets last season as director of analytics, and with the Mets continuing to make advancements in that department, Zauzmer gets the bump up which proves it will continue to be a key factor in roster construction.
A Harvard graduate in 2015 with a Applied Math and Computer Science degree, Zauzmer immediately started working for the Dodgers where he was before joining the Mets.
So Zauzmer and GM Billy Eppler will work hand-in-hand when the lockout ends to continue building the 2022 roster that could see more big moves.
