Scratch another Syracuse opponent from the basketball schedule, but not the game.
The ACC announced Sunday that Georgia Tech is in COVID-19 protocol and can’t play the Orange Wednesday in the Dome. Instead, SU has announced the Big Red of Cornell will take the date. The Orange and Big Red were supposed to play December 21st, but that game was one of two postponed when the Orange went their own bout with COVID, with coach Jim Boeheim saying 14 of 20 players and managers were positive at one point.
If you have a ticket for the original December 21st game, it will be good for this Wednesday’s contest. Syracuse has also added a Monday Dome game with Brown to its schedule. If it’s not played, the SU-Georgia Tech game will be declared “no contest” under the ACC’s revised forfeit policy adopted earlier this week.
