Auburn City Council honors retiring Debby McCormack during final meeting of 2021

The Auburn City Council honored one of its own this week at the final meeting of 2021.

Debby McCormack is retiring after two terms on the council. City Clerk Chuck Mason took over the clerk’s job when McCormack joined the council. He says she’s been closely involved in efforts to protect Owasco Lake.

McCormack’s replacement, Ginny Kent, ran on a clean water platform and will likely take McCormack’s place on the Owasco Lake Watershed Management Council. Mason is a weekly guest each Friday on Inside the FLX.
