Rochester man stopped on side of road in Sodus charged with DWI

A Rochester man has been arrested after a traffic investigation in the town of Sodus.

The Wayne County Office of Sheriff reports the arrest of a City of Rochester man following a traffic investigation that occurred on State Route 104 in the Town of Sodus.


Deputies arrested Christian A. Lynch, age 27, of Rochester.

Deputies observing a vehicle on the side of the road near the intersection of State Route 104 and State Route 14. When Deputies stopped out to check the vehicle they found that the operator Mr. Lynch to appear intoxicated. After they had Lynch perform standardized field sobriety tests which he failed at which time he was arrested and transported to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office Substation to submit to a chemical test. Lynch did submit to the test which determined his BAC to be .22%.


Mr. Lynch was transported to the Wayne County Jail for fingerprints and photos and released on appearance tickets for Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated B.A.C Of .18% Or Higher, Driving While Intoxicated and Refusal To Submit To A Breath Screening Test. Mr. Lynch is scheduled to answer to his charges on January 10th at 10:00 am in the Town of Sodus Court.
